Join the Journey

For decades, we have been drawn to the places where others saw obstacles, looking instead for untapped potential. Tiabzu grew from that same perspective: seeing opportunity in existing ocean infrastructure, value in natural ocean processes, and new possibilities in ideas that others had overlooked.

If our work resonates with your interests or experience, we welcome the conversation.

Today, Tiabzu is based in California’s Coachella Valley, where groundwater aquifers beneath one of North America’s most arid landscapes sustain life and continue to shape our appreciation for the value of water.

Our journey began along the coast of Santa Barbara and later continued from a 1923 fishermen’s hut built on the pilings of Seattle’s waterfront. There, beneath our floorboards, a daily 15-foot tidal exchange brought the waters of Puget Sound into constant interaction with freshwater flowing from Washington’s lakes and rivers, providing a daily reminder of the interconnected nature of water systems.

From coastline to waterfront to desert, these experiences continue to inform our belief that some of the most significant opportunities emerge through convergence. Tiabzu reflects that principle by bringing together diverse experiences, perspectives, and disciplines, and we welcome conversations with those who share our curiosity about what can be achieved when people, ideas, and resources come together in new ways.
